People embark on the path of Counselling & Psychotherapy for a multitude of reasons. They often want to develop or enhance personal skills, or have more resources or tools available to them, to better cope with difficulties in life. This can include issues around work related stress, relationship difficulties, bereavement, anxiety, depression, financial worries and the myriad of challenges that exist in people's everyday life.
Developing a greater sense of well being
Embarking on this journey of well-being and self-discovery you begin a voyage towards healing, confidence and improved quality of life. You discover new ways to help improve your mental, emotional, and physical self so that you are more motivated to work towards reaching your personal goals.
Counselling & Psychotherapy
Counselling & psychotherapy offers you the opportunity to express your worries and problems in a safe, confidential, non-judgemental space with a qualified, experienced therapist. A skilled therapist knows how to really listen and support you in your awareness and insight to your problems. Communicating your worries to someone else helps you gain clarity about your situation and helps you recognise where change may need to happen in order for you to gain a greater sense of balance in your life. Whether issues originate from the past or linger in the present Counselling & Psychotherapy will help put things into more perspective.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy [CBT]
CBT focuses mainly on the present, helping you identify and untangle negative or unhelpful thinking patterns that are leading to unhelpful choices. Together with your therapist you explore challenges and then collaboratively develop strategies that focus on making changes to improve your quality of life.
Counselling can give you greater awareness and tools to help you better understand and respond to stresses in your daily life. Contact us to see how we can help.
