At NorthStar Counselling & Therapy Centre, there is a very significant demand for appointments and many people must wait a lengthy time to seek an appointment with many of our therapists. As a result, we endeavour to minimise waiting times by reducing the number of unused appointments.
We have therefore introduced a cancellation policy to try aleviate unused therapy appointments. Please be advised that our cancellation policy forms an important part of our terms of therapy at our clinic. Each client will be given a copy of these terms at their first session.
If adequate notice is not given directly to your therapist that you will not be attending your scheduled appointment you may be charged a cancellation fee. This is because each therapy room is pre-booked in advance and, without adequate notice, your therapist is unable to offer this appointment to another client. You will therefore be liable for the room booking fee.
